Lymphatic System and Crystal Deodorant
The lymphatic system performs a major function in the body and is essential to good health. Our lymph glands assist us in expelling toxins and free radicals that could otherwise damage us at a cellular level. The lymph nodes (which are mostly located in clusters in the neck, armpits, and groin) help protect us against infection by producing white blood cells and antibodies.
However, when these major glands are worked effectively, we perspire. Bacteria, forming on the skin break down this perspiration. The bacteria multiple rapidly and it has been estimated that they can number up to 100,000 per square centimetre. This is what accounts for the nasty body odour that can occur when we sweat.
Until now the only relief from perspiration odour came by using Roll-ons, Sprays and Wax sticks. However these products inhibit and block the pores of the skin by using up to 9 different types of chemicals, sticky gels, waxes, oils, alcohol, gums and particularly aluminum chlorohydrate (and in many cases Parabens). The conglomeration of these gluggy chemicals coating our lymph system forces the glands to work overtime, in an effort to perspire. Potentially the more antiperspirant or sticky oil / gel deodorant that is applied, the HOTTER THE SKIN GETS.
Apart from making you feel sticky and uncomfortable, it is estimated that up to 15% of the population have allergic reactions and skin rashes to the cloying effects of these products and especially to their high fragrance content.
The Alvin Connor, Natural Balance range is completely natural and does not contain any chemicals.
